Online Course, Strategic Training, + Therapist Community
The step-by-step course to launch and fill a therapy group that’s clinically effective, financially sustainable, and built for real life.
I see you...
You’ve been thinking about adding groups to your practice for a while now. You want to serve more people, create a new stream of income, and build a practice that doesn’t depend on squeezing more sessions into your calendar.
But every time you go to start, you end up in a tangle of questions:
- What kind of group should I offer?
- What if no one signs up?
- What should I charge?
- What if I market it wrong—or worse, get crickets?
The fear of doing it wrong (or doing it alone) has kept you stuck in research mode.
You’ve got ideas scribbled in notebooks and folders full of resources—but no clear path forward.
And beneath all of that? A quiet voice asking if you’re even qualified to run a group, or if you’re missing something important.
Groups in Private Practice takes out the guesswork and walks you through everything—clinically, ethically, and practically—so you can finally launch a group that’s aligned with your values, your schedule, and your strengths.
With the right strategy, you can...
✅ Turn your ideas into impactful groups that attract the right clients and actually get filled
✅ Grow your income without adding more hours to your schedule
✅ Serve more clients in less time—without sacrificing clinical depth or burning out
✅ Feel confident marketing your group in a way that’s ethical, effective, and aligned with your voice
✅ Build a part of your practice that supports you, not just your clients
This course shows you how to do all of that—step by step.

I became a group therapist completely by chance.
When I lost my grant-funded hospital job and found out I was pregnant with my second child just weeks later, I was scrambling for something stable. I landed a role as the Director of Group Therapy at a private practice, and suddenly I had to learn everything about groups—fast. I didn’t have any clients yet, so I made marketing my groups my full-time job.
Two months later, I had 14 clients enrolled across three groups, all timed to wrap just before my due date. After maternity leave, I launched two more. And over the next five years, I kept refining my approach—moving from structured short-term groups to ongoing process work, honing my intake systems, and earning my Certified Group Psychotherapist (CGP) credential with over 300 hours of group therapy experience.
Now, I help other therapists start strong, stay confident, and run groups that actually work—clinically and financially. This course is everything I wish I had when I was first getting started.

Still on the Fence?
You want to make sure this is the right fit—and you should. Let’s clear up a few common questions that might be holding you back:
“I’m not sure I’m ready to lead a group yet.”
That’s exactly what this course is for. You don’t need to have a group planned or clients lined up—just the desire to make it happen. The content walks you through every step, from idea to launch.
“I’ve already tried running a group and it didn’t go well.”
You’re not alone. Most therapists never got training in how to market, structure, or screen for groups. This course shows you what works in real-world private practice—not just theory or outdated models.
“I don’t have time for another course.”
Same. That’s why this one is built to be digestible and practical. You can watch the videos at your own pace and start applying the lessons right away. Many therapists launch their first group before even finishing all the modules.
“I’m not great at marketing…”
You don’t have to be. You’ll get simple, ethical, therapist-friendly strategies for getting your group in front of the right people—plus templates to help you get started fast.
